I am proud to have been born into an optical family. In the 1840s, my great-great-great-great-grandfather, a chemist by profession, started fitting spectacles. It was his son, James, who first started on the formal route of Ophthalmic Optician. Since then, the family has spawned countless practices and moved with them from Kent to North Devon along the South Coast. Most recently, we have centred around Hampshire (since the 1890s) and West Sussex (1970s). The practices at Cowplain and Midhurst still offer what we believe our forbears would recognise as family values, service, and choice.

We look forward to providing you with those traditions and welcoming you to the family.
